Regulate & Rise Pilot Workshop
Regulate & Rise is a Scottish charity working to support children, young people and their parents who are struggling with daily life due to overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation, but who don’t meet the threshold for specialist mental health services. We are the re-brand and evolution of Anam Cara, a charity with a strong legacy of supporting women from low socioeconomic backgrounds to build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing. Regulate & Rise builds on that foundation and takes the work earlier (to children and their families) where prevention has the greatest impact.
Why we exist
Across Scotland, increasing numbers of children are anxious, overwhelmed, reactive or shut down. This isn’t just affecting their physical and mental health while young, evidence links it to school avoidance, poorer job opportunities and makes them more likely to need help in later life. How they experience life now, affects them, their family and their future.
The reality is, many families are experiencing this problem, yet most do not qualify for CAMHS support and are left without early help. We believe that if families are supported earlier, with the right tools and understanding, their future can be very different. The workshop is part of the development phase of a new community programme designed to support families before difficulties escalate into crisis or require specialist services.
Who we are
As a specialist in child musculoskeletal health, with 15 years experience working with young people, Chiropractor Dr Naomi Mills is passionate about using her 15 years clinical experience combined with 5 years of running retreats and self-empowerment activities to help serve families who are struggling and help set these young people up for a brighter future.
The current goal is to run a pilot workshop, collecting feedback from yourself and your child about what works, what needs developing and the impact this experience had on you and your child.
While there is no charge for this session, we do ask that you commit fully to the process, as your feedback will be used to develop our work further, and will be a vital part of our Charity Project Plan when applying for funding this year.

There is a zoom information session on Tuesday 31st March at 8pm. If you would like to express interest in the workshop, and attend the zoom meeting if you would like to apply, you can do so here. (Links to a Google form).
