Frequently Asked Questions on our Fire Walk events
What can I expect?
On the night, arrival is from 6.00pm at 1 Braehead, EH26 8PP. Please read the information about parking below so you can plan accordingly. At 6.30pm we will watch the fire being lit and then come inside for the orientation talk and seminar to prepare you for your firewalk.
What do I wear?
We ask that you avoid anything long or floaty for the firewalk. Jeans and leggings are perfect. So long as you are comfortable and can move freely and no clothing reaches the floor, it will be fine. Layers are good to allow for weather conditions.
What if I'm not sure if I want to walk or just watch?
Everyone who sits in on the seminar (talk) before the walk must sign a waiver to be in the room. The waiver means you can hear the talk and see how we prepare for the walk. It does not mean you are committed to walking! We ask all our attendees to understand the decision of WHEN and IF you walk the fire is something that will be made in the moment. When you sign up to one of our events, your ticket gives you the opportunity to fire walk. Sometimes, choosing not to walk is the empowering decision on the night. The seminar (talk) beforehand ensures you will be fully informed on how to walk safely across the fire if you choose to.
Due to space limitations, we can't always allow spectators to watch you on the night. Please pay close attention to your individual event email about this.
Will there be photos on the night?
Part of the waiver and this experience is that we will try to get a photo of everyone crossing the fire, although this cannot be guaranteed. If you take along a mobile phone, our team or a friend can take a photo for you. However, the experience will be stored in your memory forever!
How old do I need to be to firewalk?
Fire walking is a dangerous activity. You will be given very clear instructions on the night on how to make sure your experience is positive and safe. We are fully insured to deliver all the experiences which are offered at our seminars and everyone must be over 18 years of age to take part. Our insurance covers participants from 16 years of age and we would discuss this on an individual basis.
Weather and cancellations
Firewalking can happen in almost any weather - rain and snow are not a problem! Consistent high winds of over 25mph would be the only reason the firewalk cannot safely take place that night. Please keep an eye on your email if the weather is very windy, we would confirm by 3pm with you via email if the event cannot go ahead due to weather. If this happens, we will look to reschedule very soon.
If YOU can't make it for any reason, I would appreciate a text on 07702841080 so that we aren't waiting / looking for you on the night. If you arrive after the fire has been lit, you won't be able to enter as the preparation will already have started. Arrive early to park and be ready to take part in the seminar.
